High Performance Flat Roofing Systems

Flat roofs are notorious for being problematic.  This needn't be he case with well installed modern materials.

It is important that a flat roof is well constructed from the supporting joists up, including adequate ventilation.

We will ensure that you have the correct decking, insulation and membranes to meet your requirements.

Materials

After many years of trialling various products, we now install Pluvitec polymer bitumen waterproofing membrane.  This is a superior three layer system from Italy. 

The UK distributor offers 10, 15 & 20 year insurance backed guarantees, in addition to Capitol Roofing's own guarantees.

Re-felting

Before replacing failed felting, we thoroughly check that the  base is sound and that there has been no water damage to decking that could weaken it.  If replacement decking is required, we use  exterior grade plywood or pressure treated timber boarding.  These are superior to the chipboard decking that some companies install, and they will not fail catastrophically should they ever become damp in future decades.
