Slate and Tile Roofs

Slate Roofs

We carry out traditional natural slating work on a wide range of domestic, commercial and industrial properties.

We use new natural slates from Cornish, Welsh and Cumbrian slate quarries or if necessary imported slates.

For refurbishment work, we are careful to closely match the existing slates using reclaimed materials as this often gives the most sensitive restoration.

Tiled Roofs

We have a great deal of experience in working with tiles of various kinds, including

  • Pin-tiles, both on pitched and hanging. These are flat and 'pinned' to the roof timbers.

  • Pantiles.  These often have a wave like appearance, with one side of each tile overlapping its neighbour.  There are Celtic (French), Barco and Lincoln pantiles.

  • Interlocking Tiles.  These are more modern and lock into each other either side and top and bottom.

We are experienced in working with all types of clay tiles and concrete tiles.

Lead Work

Traditional lead work is a speciality, including valleys, box valleys, flashing etc.
